DIY Terima Kasih Tags

This started during the planning of my solemnization. The standard practice is to get your ‘Terima Kasih’ tags made together with your invitations. My solemnization and reception was 4 months apart, and I haven’t even gone looking around for invites yet at that point.

That’s when I discovered that there’s a lot of ‘Thank You’ printables out there, but it’s hard to find ready printables for ‘Terima Kasih’ tags. So today I’m sharing with you guys one printable ‘Terima Kasih’ tag that I had designed.

It’s formatted for an A4 sized paper and the size of the tags if printed at 100% scale is 1.5 inches both ways. You can use scissors to cut them, but my tip for a clean and crisp tag is to use a steel ruler with a blade or exacto knife.

The lazier option (what I had opted for) is to use those large punches. I had a 1.5 inch circle puncher I had on hand, which I had gotten at Borders, The Curve. I had cut the paper into 4 strips which allowed me to now feed into my puncher. Punch, punch away (approximately 400 punches after), I had my tags ready for my favors!

These were actually used for my reception, not for my solemnization. I had too much fun making the 100 tags then for my Solemnization favors that I just had to make 400 more. One thing to take into consideration for the paper punching spree is that, when I had gotten my invitations made, non of the ‘Terima Kasih’ tags that I could order matches the look I was going for. That always seem to be my back story when it comes to these things.

The second incentive is of course, to be cost savvy. I managed to make these at 7 cents each, not too bad for a custom look I must say. I had gotten the cinammon colored papers at Czip Lee, Kajang. They have lots of selection of cardstock. I used a slightly heavier cardstock, so that they don’t tear easily when threaded with the ribbon. I tried printing a test sheet at home using my laser printer, but the ouput was not too pretty. I guess my OLD laser printer couldn’t handle heavier cardstocks. Since the test go was a no go, I had the rest of the sheets printed at a printing shop instead which worked like a charm.
